About Keperra
Keperra s a small suburb in the City of Brisbane. The suburb is rich in indigenous history and according to a 2016 census, the population of the area is approximately 6,807 people. The suburb is located 12.4 km northwest of Brisbane GPO.
Kererra is home to the Brisbane Institute of Tertiary and Further Education (TAFE) and Arana Leagues Club on Dawson Parade. The suburb also has a 27-hole Championship golf course called Keperra Country Club, a Westside FC football club, a Great Western shopping center, churches, hospitals, and more.
The housing in the area includes weatherboard post-war homes to larger brick houses built during the 1980s and 1990s within the area of King Park Estate. There is a Grovely State School which is a government school on 200 Dawson Parade with an enrolment of 375 students.
Keperra also has a special education institute for students who require intervention more than what mainstream schools can provide called Mitchelton State High School Positive Learning Centre. This institute has programs for primary and secondary class students. Apart from this, there is no state secondary school in the area.
