About Banyo
Banyo is a northern suburb in Brisbane with a population of 5,868 people. The area is divided into residential and industrial land. Banyo also features a Brisbane campus of Australian Catholic University, and the Brisbane City Council operates a public library accessible to all.
And with the opening of Woolworth’s Supermarket, Banyo has seen an improvement in the quality of living and drastically enhanced the housing market. Other shopping center includes Banyo Retail Centre and Banyo Shopping Centre.
Banyo has numerous heritage listings, including Banyo War Memorial, St. Oswald’s Church and Hall, Blinzinger Farmhouse, and more. The area also has a 26-hole Virginia Golf Club, which recently celebrated its 85 years anniversary.
